1950~2001

Apr. 1950 ■Established Nagoya City University.
Jun. 1951 ■Relocated the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (from Narumi Town to 3-1, Tanabe-dori, Mizuho-ku, Nagoya and to 1-11, Hagiyama, Mizuho-ku, Nagoya).
Apr. 1952 ■Established the Department of Medical School of the Medical School under the new educational system (Quota: 40).
Apr. 1955 ■Established the College of General Education for providing general education to the Premedical Course of the Medical School and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences following the establishment of the Premedical Course in the Medical School.
Sep. 1957 ■Renamed affiliated Welfare Women's Higher School to "Nursing School of Nagoya City University."
Apr. 1958 ■Established the Advanced Course in Pharmacy in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Quota: 9).
May-59 ■Relocated the administration office to Kawasumi Campus.
■Granted the academic dissertation evaluation right to the Graduate School of Medical Sciences under the old academic system.
Nov. 1960 ■Relocated the Library of the Medical School from the University Hospital to Kawasumi Campus.
Mar. 1961 ■Abolished the Medical School and the Graduate School of Medical Sciences under the old academic system; abolished the Advanced Course in Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Apr. 1961 ■Established the Graduate School of Medical Sciences (Doctoral Program) and the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Master's Program).
Dec. 1961 ■Set the number of sickbeds of the University Hospital to 512.
